Abstracted Landscapes

Someone visited my blog last night and commented on a recent post, Abstracted Moments.  The  comment reminded me I had an incomplete draft sitting on my computer waiting for me to finish it.

I took the photos below through a bus window as it travelled at 100k past a soda lake in Turkey.

There is a peaceful, abstracted quality to the images that appeals to me.  Reducing the landscape to bands of colour is a composition I keep coming back to.

    1. Thanks Gail. That’s an idea I would never have thought of but it’s an excellent one. They would make lovely applique quilts. I haven’t sewn in years but who knows where the creative currents are taking me.

Please comment. I love knowing what you think.
