Eerie lights

http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2013/11/01/photo-challenge-eerie/

A few weeks ago I took these photos at a place where there had been a massacre of aboriginal people in the early days of white settlement.  Such massacres are rarely talked about by white people.  The fact they occurred was suppressed  when I was a child.  It is only in recent years that aboriginal people have been speaking up about the other side of white settlement.

The orbs of light appeared in several of my photos of this cave but not in all of them.  They could not be seen with the naked eye.   The place didn’t feel scary but felt somehow profound – perhaps they are unappeased spirits asking to be acknowledged.
