A walk in the bush

033 The bush in this part of Australia enchants me.

One of my favourite trees is the Casuarina or She Oak.  The needle like leaves whisper together as I pass beneath – a gentle, hushing sound that soothes nerves on edge from the pace of twenty first century life.Misty autumn morning - Tower Hill

In spring the lush green growth in the bush vibrates with life. DSCF7962

In summer the grasses dry out – the soft straw colours and the delicate foliage of the wattles are dream like, almost not quite real.  Always though, no matter what the season, walking in the bush revitalizes me.

    1. That would be nice. It would be fascinating to know if you feel fairy presences in the Aussie bush – my girls used to say they could see them when they were little but I can’t say I’ve had the experience.
